My San Francisco experience!

What better way to spend a saturday evening than to wach a open door movie in a park?

Today is Monday the 28.07, I'm in my 5th day of travels and I'm slowly geting a grip with all those things one needs to be careful about when traveling (have your wallet at all times, eat, take water...etc).
I arrived here on Friday and only after three days I can say I'm realizing that I'm on another continent, traveling, exploring.......
First day I remember walking the streets and asking my self why the hell did I come here when It's all the same as in Austria, just with bigger cars and broader streets......now I see how wrong I was...every thing here is so different form my faraway Europe.


















We (wonderfull, funny swedish CS couple that was surfing the same hause as I did), found (and very much enjoyed) great restaurants and a caffes...kind of "love the earth, we dont cook our food, peace and love.....maaan!" type of buiseness that you can only find in San Francisco!

I haven't seen a lot from SF, probably could have seen more, but I stick to my decision to make this trip a relaxed one....different form my Turkey travel (22 city in 24 days) last year.
There is no better place to start a lade back trip than in this BEAUTIFUL city of hippies, thrift stores (second hand) and healthy food, free trade cafes shops that's for sure.

















Ok....it's just a parking mashine...but!!! for me it's one of those things that facinate me..I've only seen it in the movies! I relised it was my first time to pay it at a mashine like that so I needed to document it!















MOMA, SF Musem of modern art. The main attraction was the
Frida Kahlo exibiotion a very cool coincidence knowing
that I'll be there very soon... a great warm up for knowing a
new culture!
BDW that is me next to a Chinese contemporary instalation.















No, no....it's not the real thing...I mean it is but it's
the other bay bridge that connects SF with Oakland

a big disappointment when realising tomorrow............

I will be back here for my return flight, so I left all the second hand shopping for my second visit,
I bought my spanish-english dict, mexico lonely planet, and a book Optimist (how tipical for me :D) writen by Voltaire also in Spanish.......bought my laptop (1kg only) for extencive lerning of Java program language and that makes me more or less ready to move on.....
I found a ride for LA tomorrow and a CS host allready!
I'm off to explore further parts of California! Bye for now!

Just a shot post, I am well and sigth seeing SF, I will post photos form dublin and this beautifull city later when a get a cheaper connection...5 min 1$ it's a rip off!!!

Pozdrav iz amerike! zemlje velikih auta i sirokih ulica! pokusavam kontaktirat svog domacina za veceras i smislit sta cu dalje na svom putovanju.
Jucer sam se nasao s Ruzom (frendicom iz broda) i popio pravu pivu u pravom pabu i uzivao u zaniljivom razgovoru s njom a kasnije i s njezinim deckom.....ruza me spasila spavanja na aerodoromu i ne samo to, odbacila me u jutro do terminala!!
Hvala Ruzo, i vidimo se sljedeci put na skijanju u Austriji!!!

Dublin and the July groop!

Hello every body!!!
I'm on a road agin! I'm flying I'm riding! It's Great!!
I'm in dublin right now, I have to call some people to organize my stay for tonight or, I just might get a bus back to the airport, or I might spend a night at some of the most famous pubs in the world...
It all started in Kapfenberg, early , early in the morning. Ilses cusine Ana has bravely driven me over the former border between Austria and Slowakei, bravely because she is a complete freshman in driving, but she did the task above every expectation! we arived an hour early, for which my body was tankfull couse I could finaly get some sleep.
I flue to Dublin a began exploring it with a Austrian Freulein Camilla and a Ialian german speaking Andrea.
We did mideval exploration of Dublin with a dubthfull sucess...but still had a lot of fun!

Pozdrv svima! Evo stigo sam do Dublina, malo sam umoran ali to je razumljivo s obzirom na broj sati koje sam ulozio u spavanje u zadnjih tri dana!
Utjeha ce mi bit u tome da cu moza moci prespavati cijeli let do San Franciska. Sredio sam si smjestj tako da je taj dio rijesen. Cak imam i plan za izlazak u petak...idem na koncert u San Francisku!!!
Sutra sve krece za prve, cudan je to osjecaj, biti restoranu jedan dan i drugi cijeli dan letat po Irskoj i onda preksutra letit negdje drugdje....kao da se svaki trenutak trebam probudut.
Eto naisao sam na dove ljudi u dublinu koje su pricali njemacki i umjesto da sam uzivao slusajuci ovaj irski naglasak cijeli dan sam opet proveo sprehajuci......
Sve je super i tece po planu...samo da se malo naspavam.....

My Birthday!!!!!!

Like every year I decide to give my self something for my birthday.
This year I decided to give my self a trip to Mexico!!!!
As all those that are in contact with me know, I've been working and studying like crazy for the last couple of months and now my time has come.
I'm counting days to my start....I'll be working leteraly until the last moment...Wednesday is my last day I finish at 17 and after that I'll be probably be heading to Vienna right a way because I need to be in Bratislava on the next morning catching my Dublin flight........now that I call a good start, not to mention that after a one day and one night of Dublin I"ll be in one of the most interesting and most beautiful cities i the world : San Francisco!!!

The Birthday it self couldn't have been better:
It started with Ilse nocking on my door with a Birthday cake!!!!!!!!!!!! How cool is that.....I tell you she is a dream landlord :)





























After that a quick stop at my work to work of a 7h shift. When that was done it was time to party!
A went to a Joerg, a CS friend Graz. We had some Herzegovina vino and some birthday cake of my and a great talk about his upcoming resettlement to Edenburg, before we went to meet some other couchsurfers....a couple of drinks called Melone Polas (hope I speled it right, you austrians correct me if I'm wrong)...Postgarage after that...............and at the and we could say : the night was just great!!! The day was perfect.
It made me realize that I do need to get out of Kapfenberg more often......well what better way to do that, than to go to another continent......North America here I come!!! I can finaly use some of that Spanish I've been learning for the last couple of months ;)

Nomadska obitelj poznatija kao Šimunovići

Prošli tjedan sam imao priliku u svom skromnom domu udomiti svoju najbližu obitelj. Obitelj Šimunovic. Oni kao i svake godine u ljeto putuju par tjedana po raznim dijelovima svijeta i ovaj put smo Štajerska i moja malenkost imali čast pokazati im par zanimlivosti .
Posjet je naravno bio prekratak i uz to opterećen činjenicom da sam ja svaki dan morao bit na poslu u 17h (hehe..o tome malo kasnije). Tako da je svaki dan počinjao s grupnim doručkom u vrtu moje preljubazne gazdarice Ilse.....nekako u stilu Pleše/Šimunović bi to uvijek potrajalo predugo i odjedanput bez najave je već bi bilo podne........














Ilse priprema "krevet" za dvoje CS-era iz Poljske koji nam se nazalst nisu pridružili zbog auto kvara na putu......

Prvi dan smo stigli skupa posjetit Ikeu ali ja sam, kao to sam spomenio mora biti na poslu u 17h, poznata kombinacija Pleše/Šimunović dolazi na scenu i moje radno vrijeme počinje u 17:30 (navodno zbog nekakvog kvara na autu ;).















Osvježavajuća kava/kola/čaj ili kako smiriti dijecu na 7,5 min (nisam računao na nuspojavu hiperaktivnosti uzrokovanu kofeinom u koli)

Dan Drugi je bio puno organiziraniji i sve je krenilo super, digli smo se na vrijeme, odlučili doručkovati u auto...ali........ma mora da je nastupila promjena vremena s ljetnog na neko polu jesenko, ljetni solsticiji il šta ti ja znam i opet je odjednom bilo podne :D
Izlet je bio u Rigelsburg. Neka fotke govore za sebe......











































































Poslije ove posljednje fotke smo se "malo" morali pozurit jer sam ja trebao biti na poslu za nekih pola sata...voznja od dovorca do Bruck na Muri gdje radim traje 1,5h................ma bila je gužva na auto putu šefe..............
