Jernej's suprise BBQ party!!

He thought he would get a way with having a discrete birthday, but somehow the word spread around and 27 people heard that it's his birthday on Saturday 01.03 so they all came to the last house in Kapfenberg to sing him a birthday song on 5 different languages.
Sorry Jernej no discretion in such a small place as Kapfenberg!

birthday















The BBQ party was moved inside because of the
could wetter, the wind and the rain!















We had an Austrian corner















...and an Taiwan corner, and across the room
a Mexican one.
I must thank Niel for his extraordinary effort
in mingling with the people and taking photos

Ilse, with out her it would have never been a party
, saved the day with her wonderful
birthday cake for Jernej, just as the people
were about to leave...so the party continued.....

What have the new students at our FH Joanneum been up to?
The peak of the Welcome week was a visit to the local brewery Gösser. A very informative tour through brewery was toped with tasting of fine Austrian beer in a small pub inside the brewery.
Lunch that was served in a restaurant near by with Wienerschnitzel, Kartofelsalat and apple juice with sparkling water (all very Austrian!), in the combination with the tasty beer almost put 2 buses of Students to sleep......
If it was not for the highly intense walk trough the typical Austrian village called Fronleiten (the pronunciation of that word still remains a mystery to most of us) ........

(Bosnia and Herzegovina)...
that is correct! Mostar seems to have some surplus
of monks so they export them to Austria.
